The title of which was born as a spur-of-the-moment alibi when its members were discovered breaking curfew by the Germans occupying their island during World War II.
Synopsis: Writer Juliet Ashton played by Lily James forms an unexpected bond with the residents of Guernsey in the Channel Islands in the aftermath of World War II when she receives a letter from Dawsey Adams played by Michiel Huisman and decides to write a book about their experiences during the war.
