Steve Coogan to star as Stan Laurel alongside John C Reilly as Oliver Hardy in a new BBC film which commenced filming in Bristol today.
This biopic of their final tour in 1952 saw Laurel and Hardy travel to variety halls across the UK. Although Hardy was suffering from failing health and the pair were aware their career was nearing an end, everywhere they went, the funniest duo of all time were mobbed by thousands of screaming, adoring fans.
